I have recently been diagnosed with avn it effects my wrists, my left is permanently damaged and the right is progressing very quickly, the pain is unbearable nothing seems to help, i have taken strong doses of prednisone to reduce the inflammation quickly, but once i stop taking it comes right back and not to mention the awful side affects from steroids. Not sure what to do. I dont think im gonna be able to work anymore and am very upset and worried about my financial future, im only 40 years old and its been goin on for about 9 years. Has anyone went the surgical route, i would do it if i knew that it would stop the pain.
