Do you have chronic hip, knee, shoulder or other joint pain? You may have avascular necrosis.

I had AVN due to a hip fracture not healing correctly. I think the best option once diagnosed is to see the level of AVN, depending on the severity, your doctor may or may not be able to intervene. Mine was too far progressed to do any treatment so I ended up with a hip replacement due to the limitations it was creating in my life.
I encourage people to get help as soon as possible and not ignore the pain.

I have recently been diagnosed with advanced AVN. I have it in both hips and both arms. Waiting to see a specialist. I don’t think or see how I can work anymore. I’m really upset and have never talked to anyone that has this disease. HELP
What can I expect? How did the hip replacement. Was it a horrible surgery? I’m 58, how old are you?
