I am. Are you having any problems with it? I was having multiple unpredictable tachycardia events and it stopped them so I'm very thankful for it. I've been on it since mid-March.

After years of being on diltiazem,, and Tikosyn and Acebutolol, doc took me off because of low bp. We doubled my Ace to 800mg/day instead.

No. Dr is slowly stopping metoprolol due to shortness of breath and tiredness and increasing diltiazem from 60 mg twice a day to diltiazem er180 once a day for afib.

I've been on Diltiazem 120 mg for 10+ years, no side effects.... it does keep heart rate lower and according to my Doctor is heart beneficial not just from a afib standpoint.

Just getting started on diltiaxem (for AFIB) after complaining to Dr that Metoprolol was affecting my sleep. Hope this works!

I have been on diltiazem for at least 10 years now along with carvedilol. It has successfully controlled my heart rate and keeps it under 90 bpm. However it it does not control my heart rhythm which I believe it is not intended to do. So I am permanently in AFIB but with a controlled hate rate. Diltiazem keeps me out of the emergency room. I do sometimes have bouts of low BP though. I am 72 yrs old.
