The COVID-19 pandemic has raged on for over a year now and is leaving many of us to wonder: where are we now? And where are we going?

In the following video, Dr. Stacey Rizza, an infectious disease expert and one of the foremost authorities at Mayo Clinic on the SARS-CoV2 (COVID-19) pandemic, joins Dr. Ackerman to discuss these exact questions.

Since Dr. Rizza last joined us on July 24, 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic was just beginning to build, many things have changed. From cases and death tolls to whether or not a vaccine would ever be developed, Dr. Ackerman and Dr. Rizza discuss the most recent developments and updates of the COVID-19 pandemic.

I was told by the health doctor that I had a 3-7month immunity. Do I need to get the shot now, or should I wait. I would like to have the Johnson & Johnson shot, but I suppose I don't have a choice. I was really lucky not to have a severe case, however, I just hope I don't have any lingering side effects. So much we don't know.

What if any side effects are there for those receiving the vaccine, six months from now. I’ve heard a lot of crazy things.
