How Do You Bring Up Mayo Clinic in Your Daily Life? - Monthly Mission

As a Champion, it's hard not to talk about your Mayo Clinic experience when the opportunity presents itself. And throughout the years, we've heard some pretty unique ways that Champions have encouraged Mayo Clinic to come up in their day-to-day lives.

Some use a Mayo Clinic water bottle or wear a Mayo Clinic jacket to encourage people to ask about Mayo Clinic. Others bring it up in the salon as their latest trip out of state to Rochester, Scottsdale/Phoenix, or Jacksonville for treatment or a checkup. We've also seen Mayo Clinic been brought up as they post about their treatment or transplant anniversary on social media channels.

We want to hear from you

We want to hear how you've brought up Mayo Clinic to your friends, family, coworkers, or strangers. Tell us in the comments below or send us an email at Champions@mayo.edu. We can't wait to hear it.

I tell at least one person per day how grateful I am that we travelled to Mayo for my husband. I would be a widow already if it weren’t for the amazing people at Mayo.

I am a post donation living donor. I regularly share on FB & with folks I meet about Mayo & kidney donation. I’m 3 years out so I’m done with the follow up visits. My wife, who also is a post donation living donor, & I recently attended the first meet & greet for post donors & potential donors. We look forward to the next event & will continue to share the good news about our Lord and savior & the good things Mayo Clinic is providing for those in need.

I also use the Mayo water bottle as well as the Mayo Connect cards to introduce others to Mayo Connect. I've used my personal FB page to post many of the great articles, posts, and newsfeeds that Mayo Clinic and Mayo Connect provide. Even though I live a distance from any of the Mayo Clinics, some invariably will reply that Mayo was a life-saver for them.

Keep up the good work everyone! These are great. 🙂

@auntieoakley - What a great idea! I'm glad Mayo could help your husband.

@steviet - Congrats on being 3 years post-donation! Thanks for sharing your Mayo experience with others who need/have had transplants. I'm sure you are providing great insight and hope.

@hopeful33250 - You certainly were the water bottle inspiration in the post. How clever! Thanks for continuing to talk about Mayo and for being so involved on Connect as a Mentor.

Awesome! Thank you. I have ordered books and vanicream for friends but I never thought about getting new shirts before. I was kind of hoping my sister in law was going to let me take her back to Mayo for care, and I was thinking about hitting the store. Lol
