As dubbs mentioned, CART T treatment is expected to be available in the very near future. As with any type of new treatments or drugs, thorough research is needed for the safety of the patient. Mayo Clinic is excited about the potential to offer CAR T treatment when it becomes available. @rexk, if you don’t mind sharing, what brought you to Mayo Clinic Connect?
@ddubbs, you have some understanding of CAR T, have you had experience with CAR T or done some of your own research?
@JustinMcClanahan Yes, I have done some of my own research. My family has been working with Blood cancer for over 50 yrs. Great free education that way.
Car T is FDA approved for certain conditions. Novartis and Gilead pharmaceutical both have their version and TG therapeutics will come out with theirs when the FDAs approval most likely in November.
