anosmia
I have had a complete 100% lack of the ability to smell (anosmia) since birth, and while it has not hindered me in any major way, I would like to find out the cause of it. I don't even know what type of doctor would handle such an investigation. Or, since it is apparently somewhat rare, is there studies to particpate in? Every time I asked a physician why or what caused this, the answer was " You can't smell because you can't smell". I would like a more definitive answer! And it doen't seem to fall into any of the categories listed below. Anyone have the same condition?

I have just been diagnosed with Anosmia; which means I can't smell which means I can't taste. I went to an ENT doctor and he put me on Pregnisone. I don't know if this is going to work

I lost my sense of smell over a year ago, and have seen an ENT Specialist and a Neurologist, who haven't found any issues. I'm now doctoring with a Rheumotologist, who has me on Plaquenil for a trail period, but unfortunatley.....no changes 🙁
