Should Mayo patients report their vaccine to Mayo?

Posted by Laurie, Volunteer Mentor @roch, Feb 17, 2021

Maybe someone at mayo can answer this question.

If I am a Mayo patient and have received my COVID vaccine at non-Mayo location how do I inform Mayo I received the vaccine,, which one, date, etc...

Or do I wait till next clinic appt and inform them at that time.

Thanks
Laurie

@roch. I think it's a good idea to let your doctor know about the vaccination so it's in your medical record. I did not get mine from my provider but my doctor was pleased that I did.

Laurie @roch, I think you can just send a message to your primary care doc through your Mayo patient portal and provide the details of your COVID vaccine and they can add it to your medical record.

If you live in Minnesota & get your vaccine in Minnesota, my RN daughters have informed me that all vaccines delivered are being added to the state immunization database, which is accessible to your physician. The only problem might be delays in updating.

@roch, did you report your vaccine status to Mayo Clinic? How did you do it?

Added it to my portal under immunizations and sent a message to my nurse coordinator to let her know how it went.
