Type 2 Diabetes: I have neuropathy in my feet and legs

I am a type 2 diabetic with neuropathy in my toes, which interfered with my sleep. I've found a topical and a capsule that really help me. Don't know if I'm allowed to mention brand names, but the topical I use contains arnica. It must be rubbed in, not merely put on. Guess how I know that. In addition, I take alpha lipoic acid capsules. I also wear socks to bed year round to keep the sheet from rubbing my toes and causing extra pain. I know how bad my pain can be, so I can't imagine how awful yours must be. Hope you are able to find something that helps you!

Hi Deanna, I’m glad you have found something that works for you since there are so many choices and not all are successful. I am guessing you do not take gabapentin or lyrica. Many here take the alpha lipoic acid, myself included and find it helps a lot with the pain. We have mentioned brand names and where to purchase on this forum in the past so I assume it’s ok. I for one would like to know what exactly you are using, I thought arnica was to prevent bruising, didn’t know it helped with pain. Thanks, Helen
