Hi, I began having similar problems. I couldn’t lay on either side at night and in the morning I couldn’t raise my arm enough to put eye drops in. An orthopedic doctor gave me similar diagnosis and gave me steroid shot and anti inflammatory med. Since then, I have had physical therapy for my shoulders. It is important to keep your shoulder moving or it will become “frozen”. If you are comfortable with the diagnosis, a doctor can order pt. I still have pain and stiffness which I attribute to arthritis but the exercise helps with mobility. I can now lay on one side but experience some discomfort by morning. Moving it helps. I also use ice and heat. I hope this helps you. I was 63ish when I started having trouble putting my jacket on. Best of luck to you.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my message. I am so sorry to hear you have basically the same problem and pain that I am experiencing. It is awful, I can't even do up my bra by myself. Actually, both of my arms and shoulders are bothering me now, but my right side is very painful. You are right about sleeping, I can't sleep on either side, so I end up on my back every night. I have a pretty hard mattress and was wondering if it may be contributing to my pain. I do love this mattress though. As suggested to me, I am going to see a physiotherapist next week just to find out what I should be doing, exercise or not etc. I have heard the term frozen shoulder and will be looking it up on Web MD. I surely don't want this to happen. I do love the ice and heat and they give me some relief, if only for a while. Thanks again. I
