[Survey] Help shape the future of audiology: Future Hearing Journeys

Posted by davidzapala @davidzapala, Sep 27, 2020

My name is David Zapala. I am an audiologist and the chair of the audiology division at Mayo Clinic in Florida. As you may know, Mayo Clinic, the Hearing Loss Association of America and the IDA Institute (an international foundation focused on patient-centered hearing healthcare) partnered to create and support the Hearing Loss support group here on Mayo Clinic Connect.

The Ida Institute has launched a new major project to explore the changing landscape in audiology, and hearing healthcare in general. Through a combination of surveys, interviews, and focus groups, the Future Hearing Journeys project will gather insights across hearing healthcare, including people with hearing loss, advocacy groups, hearing care professionals, industry representatives, academics, and other stakeholders.

Thank you to the members of the Hearing Loss group, who took part in the survey and to contributed their insights. The survey closed October 3, 2020.

Stay tune for further updates and opportunities for participation.
