How do you aggressively treat severe constipation due to ataxia you?

Hello @wittmack

I understand that you are having constipation problems that you think are associated with a diagnosis of Ataxia. Here is some information about Ataxia from Mayo Clinic's website. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/ataxia/symptoms-causes/syc-20355652

From reading about this, I see that one of the symptoms of Ataxia is difficulty swallowing and eating. Is this a problem for you as well? If so, you might talk with your doctor to see how you can increase your fluids and foods in order to deal with the constipation.

Does your doctor think this might be related to any of the meds you are taking for this disorder? If you are comfortable sharing more, how long ago were you diagnosed with Ataxia?

Thank you for your reply. Yes I also have difficulty swallowing and will check in to your questions with my doctor. I was diagnosed about a year and a half ago.

@wittmack - I'm not sure if you are aware of the National Ataxia Foundation's website. They have some video webinars that you may find helpful.
