@erasahai, welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. Brain metastasis is cancer that started in another part of the body and spread to the brain. It’s sometimes called secondary brain cancer or a metastatic brain tumour. Brain metastasis is not the same as cancer that starts in the brain (called primary brain cancer).

Can you tell me more about your brain metastases? What type of cancer was the primary cancer?

Thank you so much for the response!
Actually my 18 year old son was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma of spine in S1, S2, S3, in September 2016.He underwent 17 cycles of chemotherapy till December 2017,and one month radiation, and it got cured. He remained cancer free till October 2019, when he complained of double vision in his left eye, after PET CT and MRI, it was confirmed that he had two tumors in the brain, they performed surgery in November 2019 and removed about 80℅ of the tumor which was behind his left eye, he also got radiation for 10 days, and is currently undergoing 9 th cycle of chemotherapy, doctor says he will give him one more cycle and then put him on oral tablets. My son's general health is good, we are now anxious what holds for us in the future.
