Bloated belly

Posted by lunastarly @lunastarly, May 27, 2020

Good evening all,

I am really getting stressed lately and worried. My belly is shaped like I am pregnant, at first, I didn't thought anything of it, but while in confinement these last 2 months, I went to my parents house, my mother noticed my belly and kept mentioning that it looks like I am pregnant.

I am sexually active. Last time, I've been with my boyfriend was before the confinement began in my country in mid Mars, we had unprotected sex (withdrawal). I did get my period these last two months and lasted more than 3 days. Last one was late by 4-5 days and the one before it was late by 1 day. I do have irregular periods.

I was really stressed last month, as I thought I might be pregnant, although I believe it doesn't make sense right? because I didn't miss my period?, anyway I was relieved when I got it.

I do suffer from overthinking so I can usually get overworked over these things. What stressed me out is I heard stories that many women were pregnant and still got their period, but that seems highly unlikely right? scientifically I mean.

So now with my belly looking like I am pregnant, it is really sticking out and my mother remarks, I got really worried, I am skinny 114 pounds and short 5'5", so it seems unusual as I didn't have it like this before. I am expecting my next period in a few days.

Please I would really appreciate your outlook on this.

If you have access to medical supplies, have you taken a home pregnancy test? I think this might alleviate a lot of your anxiety. Also, if you have been on a diet or new workout routine, your core may reduce in size, but there is still the need for your organs to have a place to reside, thus the "little bump"

Please let us know if you decide to do the test, and how it comes out. Will you do that for me?

Thank you Ginger, for the quick reply. I really appreciate it. I haven't taken a home pregnancy test, it is not available in the small town I am in as most people here they don't really know about it and just go to gynecologist. Currently, in my country we are still in confinement and going outside is not allowed, and medical checks are limited for urgent cases only.

So even I did get my periods these last 2 months, there is a still a possibility that I am might be pregnant?

@lunastarly Yes, it is possible to continue to have somewhat lighter periods during part of a pregnancy. Are you able to go to a doctor, or or a pregnancy kit to be sent to you, to understand what is going on?

@gingerw Thank you Ginger, I really appreciate your help. I had quite heavy periods with cramps, they weren't light. Unfortunately, that current not possible in the small town I am currently in. I am in a 3rd world country, I will need to go the city for that, but they currently not allowing that.

I think I will just wait for my next period we should be due in a few days.

@lunastarly Hi there and wondering how you are doing? Did you get your period, or pregnancy test, or go to OB/GYN?
