Posted by celise @celise, May 24, 2020

Hi, I've been suffering from this itching for 3 days already and honestly, it's irritating. Itball started after I trimmed the pubes. My outer labia was getting red specially when the itching starts. It even got worsed when it was touched by water and now it's a bit painful and itchy at the same time. The itching also always starts from my perineum. I also have white discharge but it does not stinks.

What could it be? Could it be yeast infection? Any remedies? Please help meee I dont know what to do now. It itches a lot specially at night.Thankyou in advance.

@celise Have you seen a gyn for this? How old are you ? Welcome to connect . We care here about each other and help is we can but are'nt medical people to diagnose so I would suggest you see a gyn for her to determine if it is a yeast infection. Good luck let us know how you are doing

Sadly, not yet. Even if I want to, it seems like it's hard to go out and go to a gyn right now due to lockdown here in our country. There are no transportations. We do not even have a car.

@celise- I'd like to join @lioness in welcoming you to Connect. Is there a pharmacy near you? If you can get to one or have someone get to one for you pick up a large box of Monistat (the cream in it will help a lot if you have a yeast infection.) If that doesn't help then I would recommend what @lioness suggests. There has to be a way to talk to a doctor at least! Will you let us know how you do?

Hi, @celise I have not really had your experience but I know people who have had itching in their genital area that was caused by using a different laundry detergent or fabric softener. Have you changed products recently? That is a more sensitive area than the rest of your body and of course your underwear is in very close proximity to it.

I did some googling and came up with this. I believe this to be a fairly reliable source. You may want to try some of the home remedies while you are waiting to see a doctor. I don't think any of them could do harm.

@contentandwell , thankyou for your concern. Yep I've tried the ACV remedy and Coconut Oil as a moisturizer and it does really help me somehow. The itching from my perineum was reduced. My only problem now was this itchy bumps.

@celise- If you shaved your hair then the hair needs to grow in and it will stop itching. Use a moisturizer until it doesn't itch anymore. Good luck.

Please see a doc or a P.A.
I had the same. Went to pharmacy and asked
the Pharm Doc, (doctorate in pharmacology) for a recommendation.
There are some good creams that bring relief
BUT
The Pharm Doc recommended a cream AND seeing a P.A. (Physician’s Assistant) or doctor.
Pharmacists cannot prescribe but what they suggested helped ! Physician’s Assistant confirmed pharmacist’s choice.
