@dorisena

I learned in college classes that the first line of defense against diabetes is diet, along with exercise to improve the body's good function. I wish we hadn't gotten the idea in the past that if you have a health problem, you take a pill to get well. So I can't help you with information about medications because I haven't experienced much about them, and learning about diet is the better place to achieve success in control. Since I like to cook and was responsible for feeding six people or more every day, it was easy for me to control the problem. I recommend getting help from a nutritionist and checking out the good information on the web. I thank God every day that I am not dealing with type I diabetes, which is a more serious health issue that usually requires insulin and or other medications to control, in addition to diet. You can share your eating habits and we can offer suggestions. But everyone is different, it seems. Dorisena
