2 years sick, nauseous and dizzy, no answer, please help.

So I’ve been sick for about 2 years now. It started when I was using meth. I would get real dizzy, nauseous, weak feeling. So I decided to quit. Well all the dizzy and nauseous feeling stayed there. The only relief I seem to get was when I overate. Well now her I am 2 years later, I still get extremely dizzy, a constant nauseous feeling, overall tiredness that only gets worse when I push myself physically. (Like to the point where I can barley get out of bed I’m so dizzy and nauseous.) I’ve tried 4 different types of anti depressants with no prevail. I’ve had multiple blood tests done and it comes up nothing every time. But I feel so terrible. I can’t drink alcohol at all anymore cuz it makes me dizzy and sick. It is an absolute struggle to make it through a day of work. By time the day is over I feel like my body is so weak I can barley move. My legs are shakey, my eyes hurt, I’ve lost 30 pounds in a matter of months, and the doctors keep saying it’s depression. But prior to drug use and during I was never depressed or had any problems. I’ve had an endoscopy and colonoscopy both came back fine. No medicine makes the nausea go away. I’ve tried Xanax still no relief. I just don’t know what to do at this point and I’m just praying someone has an idea of what to do.

Today is day 10 of being off effexor. I started feeling depression slowly working its way back into my life. I have had nausea for 1 year. It's the worst it's been this month. Constantly nauseous is very depressing. I don't want to do anything. I just want to sleep to escape the nausea and depression.

@marylcamp67 I'm wondering if you have considered anxiety as a cause. It's surprising how mental health can take a toll on the body and manifest as real physical symptoms.

@marylcamp67 This is unrelated to your condition but related to nausea. When I was very nauseous during 3 pregnancies, the only thing that helped was Coca Cola or bread and ketchup!

I have been completely off Effexor for two weeks now. The nausea is the worse. Creates a lot of anxiety. Loss of appetite, sweats and can't get warm are some other side effects. I just started taking 1 zanax in a day and it relieves a lot of my symptoms. I have to monitor my blood pressure all during the day as even with BP meds it gets high the worse my anxiety gets. I wish I knew how long these withdrawals last. I have an appointment with an ENT dr. who specializes in the inner ear, neurotology. I will post information I receive once I have the appointment. My heart goes out to you as nausea is by far the worse thing to deal with. May God's blessings be with you and give you the relief you need.

Hey man, I just finally caught a break! Turns out during an MRI of my brain they found a lesion in my sinuses. The ENT did a culture test and now I'm just waiting on the results. They said it could either be fungal growth or bacteria, but it has eaten a cavity into my sinuses. Apparently that crap has been draining down the back of my throat and has been killing off the flora in my guts. Basically, my body no longer has the probiotics to process the foods I eat and that's why I've been losing weight and experiencing side effects to any food I eat. This is probably also why I have been having hyper sensitivity, seizures, dizziness, weakness, hypoglycemia, and breathing problems.

However, there was one thing that bugged me. I've been experiencing this for about 3 years, and I knew I had an MRI done in 2019. So I went back and looked at it. Turns out, it was there on the 2019 MRI. The doctors and the radiologists had missed it. To their credit it was small, but you can see the mass shifting my sinus tissues, which should have been a red flag. But it aligns with the time I got sick. The problem now is determining whether or not it's a superbug as I have taken 3 kinds of antibiotics since then and it is still kicking.

Hopefully this helps ya out. It sure surprised me. I'll keep you all updated as this moves forward.

@z4pper Wow, congratulations on finding out the culprit. I’m sorry you’ve had to suffer with these symptoms for so long. The battle isn’t over yet but at least you have a diagnosis. Hopefully you’ll find the right cocktail to nip this lesion in your sinuses and get back to some normalcy!

Have you been given any dietary guidance to get your gut back to normal health with probiotics? You’ve taken a double hit with the side effects from the sinus problem as well as the antibiotics.

Thank you for sharing your story as this will undoubtedly help others!

Yes and hopefully things will be back to normal by the end of the year.
