The churches at both of our homes have services on line. One live, the other recorded. So far we have attended Palm Sunday and Holy Thursday services.
Sunday we will have a sunrise service in our large courtyard, then attend our regular church online.
Six of us are using our park's food service kitchen to prepare "takeout" Easter dinner for our neighbors, paid for by our park owner and activity fund. This is a modification of our longstanding annual tradition. Each family or household will send one person to pick up their packaged dinners to take home at the designated time. Please don't worry about safety – one of our group is a retired sanitation inspector, another a food service instructor & several are certified commercial food handlers. We spent a lot of time planning how to safely sanitize the kitchen and prepare and serve the food – including masks, gloves, disposable containers, cancelling the potluck feature, no contact pickup of each order…
We felt it was especially important to provide this touch of normality as so many are feeling the loss of normal activities.
Sue
