Sounds like you have a good plan. I also tested on Ancestry as my Mom was adopted. I found her whole family, both sides though she wants no knowledge of them or contact. I however am talking to cousins and 2nd cousins that I've never met, like you are. Isn't it wonderful to connect with them!? I must wait till my mom has passed to contact any of her half siblings (my aunts and uncles) as she doesn't want them to know of her I guess.
But I digress! My stress buster is learning how to sort my Ancestry matches by the Leeds method. My newly discovered 1/2 first cousin says maybe we can use it to place some mystery ppl in our trees! Fascinating hobby for us!
My virtual journey will be to Switzerland, as I now know that is where my biological grandfather was from.
