Pituitary Gland got bigger

Posted by bumble81 @bumble81, Feb 23, 2020

Just a quick question about pituitary glands. Apparently mine has gotten bigger between two MRIs. It's not out of range yet but they said it's bigger than it was before in 2015.

Is that normal? Do they get bigger as one ages?

@bumble81, I'm not a physician, but enlarged pituitary glands are not a normal part of aging. It is good that your medical team is keeping an eye on things. Might I ask why you had an MRI in 2015 and now? We're they concerned?

Balance issues and acute onset limb weakness that has since been determined to be possible kidney related. Recent MRI was done to look for more lesions that's when they noted my my PG was bigger than before.
