Happy Valentine's Day...and also Happy National Donor Day!

Posted by Rosemary, Volunteer Mentor @rosemarya, Feb 13, 2020

Every year on February 14th, National Donor Day is an observance dedicated to spreading awareness and education about organ, eye and tissue donation.
National Donor Day is also a day to recognize those who have given and received the gift of life through organ, eye and tissue donation, are currently waiting for a lifesaving transplant, and those who died waiting because an organ was not donated in time.

@rosemarya I am grateful to have the chance to register as a donor for any needed organs or tissue/bone, which I did several decades ago. I am ever-so-grateful to the young man who in death donated his kidneys and pancreas, my husband receiving a kidney from him. In their grief, his family gifted others.

I would like to say to everyone is, that if you haven't, please consider becoming a donor. Blood, bone marrow, anything will help those in need. Put your wishes in writing and let your family know.
