So I have had this spot on my tongue for a while now and just noticed it getting bigger. Has anyone ever had this?

@ldharrison Have you discussed this problem with your doctor or dentist yet?

A friend of mine did; you need to get it checked ASAP.

You should have that spot removed and a biopsy done. Mine turned out to be squamish cell cancer and a second one appeared and was removed. Keeping a careful eye out through dental checks every 3 months.

@ldharrison - I've had something on that order when I've bitten my tongue, and it's then healed and gone away.

@cal1972 @firelady @mouser have also mentioned tongue symptoms and may have some thoughts on the bump on your tongue and the photo you provided in your post. @debmc1958 @merpreb also may have some input on it.

Are you looking at making an appointment or contacting your doctor online to get some input?

Thank you. This spot has been there for quite sometime now and I've just pushed it away thinking it was no big deal.

I go to the doctor today and have a dental procedure tomorrow so I will be asking the docs about it.

I have not seen a dentist in so many years due to no insurance but it will now be on my must do list. I go to the doctor today so hopefully I will find something out.

I'm glad to hear that, @ldharrison. As you are comfortable doing so, will you post and let me know how you are doing?
