Help finding care for Arterial Thoracic Outlet Syndrome

Posted by raingirl99 @raingirl99, Dec 8, 2019

I was diagnosed with Arterial Thoracic Outlet Syndrome & had surgery 3x (1996; 2003; 2011) in Denver, CO.My doc Charles O Brantigan retired & I have had issues finding docs who treat/monitor this condition. This condition is serious & needs attention since my life depends on it. it involves arterial/vessel harvest rt of brachial artery + rt subclavian artery (w/2-stents). I am on both medicare/medicaid. What doctors can help me?

My adult daughter's friend in another country is going through a lot right now, young adult, and has had operation removing scar tissue from behind shoulder blade etc. As a new member I wondered if this is discussed somewhere, thank you J.

@lacy2 There sure is a previous discussion.

I'm sorry to hear of your friend's daughter and I hope everything works out well.

In order to connect you with members more quickly, I added your question to a previous discussion on this topic.

@jenniferhunter has discussed this topic in the past and has experience with it first hand. @donsbaby2016 has also recently discussed this topic.

May I ask what kind of information you are looking for specifically?

Thanks you erikas. I will pass the info to my daughter and she can send it to her friend, another Canadian, in Australia... I have found so much help and support here I thought it might have some advice/information for her. She is in pain, work related but they will not acknowledge, so she is now unable to work and in a bad situation right now... even a small light in the darkness might help her. J. p.s. How are we best to connect friend to the discussion,.. by giving those two names or a specific group? THANKS...
