Just for fun(ny): Because laughter is a great healer

Just to set the stage, at 66 I still have a full head of light brown hair with just a trace of gray. I also stay in shape by working on things at home. I also got along very well with most of my co-workers.
As lolabelle1 mentioned in her post, she looks fully recovered, My bruises and scrapes healed very fast. Nearly all my co-workers would see me, ask how I was doing, and finish up by saying “You sure look good.”. I can’t begin to count how many times this happened, and it was starting to go to my head. Especially when it came from attractive young ladies, multiple times.
It all came apart when I was stopped in the hall by our quite attractive young Assistant County Attorney. She asked how I was, I told her, then came “the line” “You sure do look good” I couldn’t help myself. I responded, “I’d tell you the same thing, but I’d get in all kinds of trouble for it.”
She got it and laughed.
So, after my accident, because I was in the hospital for 5 days, then went home with my mouth wired shut for 3 weeks more, I lost 20 pounds. Not a diet plan I would recommend to anyone.
Shortly after returning to work, I was in chatting with co-worker and as I was walking away from her desk, toward the door, she said “Kevin, you’ve got to quit losing weight.
I didn’t think much about it till later that day my boss, a lady about 5 years younger than me said, Kevin, you’ve got to quite losing weight. Your butt is disappearing.
It is a sad day in your life when reality hits you and you realize that people who you thought really liked you and were good friends, actually just liked looking at your butt!

Please add your humorous incidents that have resulted from your incident.

Thanks Kevin for the laughter! I read it Sunday and today. Laughed both times. Here is my funny TBI story:

A group of us were visiting around the kitchen table that included my son and 1 year old grandson. I mentioned something that had happen and my son says..."you told us that yesterday". I said " you sure?".....he said "yup". The table got a little quiet. ...so I said "I forgot I forget" ...my son started to smile....so I said "I promise to remember I forget." Everyone burst into laughter including my grandson doing a barrel laugh (proof its contagious).

….so remember we forget. If you forget we forget...just forget about it and LAUGH! it works.

You just have to laugh. Stressing out over little things will only harm you. And look how much joy you gave to everyone else.

I was going through some old emails to my siblings from 2016 and ran across this:

"Just want t share this with everyone. The scope and range of my incredible powers and abilities continues to grow, to the amazement of even myself....This morning I managed to spill coffee from an empty cup!"
Looking back, I remember sending this out, but don't remember the details of the event. It really did happen.
Hope this note finds you all making progress and gives you a reason to smile or laugh.

Just last week, I ran into a neighbor who had two men with her in the elevator, getting out as I was getting in. There was a bit of a startled pause, and my brain blurted out “ are you going to get out or just stand there staring at me?” I started laughing because I totally didn’t know where that came from, and the neighbor laughed, too. Still makes me giggle.
