Dorisena, Your positive attitude is wonderful!! I only wish that I can keep mine positive as long as you have!!! Yes, I'm hoping that by 65 I'm taking pictures and writing! Not a book, more a journal. I agree with you. We have to read up on everything and be very cautious as to what our choices are. I have seen so many "cures" to diabetes in the past three months that it makes your head spin. I went the less expensive route. I was blessed to find a Hy-Vee dietician that was giving free A1C tests this week. Otherwise I would have had to pay my $75.00 co-pay plus the cost of the test. We have to keep our eyes open all the time. The blood tests that the doctor took in July when I was diagnosed was almost $1,200.00 Of course I didn't find out until I got the bill. I've asked to see what the breakdown of the costs were for the tests. I can get a blood panel any time at our local hospital for $20.00. This made me very curious. I only asked for A1C, blood panel, C-reactive protein, and thyroid tests. Can't believe they would be THAT expensive. God bless your day.

That Is unethical they're taking advantage of you I know there is a transparency law in place now that president trump just signed I would look into that and challenge them And I would never pay it I would tell them to pack sand
