Hi @stuckonu I'd like to introduce you to @rckj @gingerw and @kbmayo all have experience with hypnosis or have mentioned hypnosis in the past who may be able to offer you support.

Here is what Mayo Clinic has to say on the subject of hypnosis: https://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/hypnosis/about/pac-20394405

What has your research found? Have you looked into finding a way to personally do hypnosis?

Good Morning EM and others, TY for responding, I certainly will read and continue to do research. My own experience beyond fascination happened in college will in a program specifically customized for those who were considering becoming a social worker. A professor on loan so to speak from Antioch was trained in hypnosis and with everyone’s consent he attempted to demo with a group hypnosis. We were advised before he started that not everyone would react to the process demonstration. Nearly everyone was affected except 2 of us; I was 1 of 2. That allowed me to observe. I wished that I could figure out why I was not able in that moment to respond as the others did and have been interested every since that day but have not found the place or The hypnotherapist to go to for another try.
That said I believe that there may be levels and or types of hypnotism that are affective but happen without the “ consent “ of the one being hypnotized. My example is “ subliminal advertising “ as an exact example of what I mean.
I can give more examples but it makes more sense to me to hear your thoughts on this post. Of course I welcome all replies.

TY Very much for your welcoming and thoughtful first reply
