Gratitude for Those Around Us

Posted by Sundance(RB) @sundance6, Aug 5, 2019

Yesterday was a Somber Day because of the violince that had taken place in the previous 24 hours. I tried to keep myself busy with projects that I had put off over the last year from being so ill.
When I finished mid PM I sat down to watch some TV and see how the country was doing. Of course every cable news channel had reports on the scene and "Experts" who lined up waiting to tell us why it happened. I spent the next few hours before bed checking back ocassionaly to see and hear if there was something new.
Finally decided to call it a night.
As with every night when I go up to bed the first thing I do is to end my night with a reading from "The Tao of Joy, every Day" by Derek Linn.
The page i opened to last night was simply Labeled "Gratitude"!
One written thought and sentance really summed up how we should we should view the world around us in times like these! "Think about the people you love; family members, good friends, teachers, people who have helped you and people who you have inspired." "Your connections to them are the most precious things in Life."
Spend the day Thanking and loving all of those around you! They are the most important things in Your Life!

You are so Right Ma'am! Speaking of sending good thoughts and Gratitude to others, How are You Feeling? Any realif?
Sending good thoughts your way.
You also came to mind about in the past we have talked about fishing.
I think I am getting stronger each day! I'm going to try and sneak away on Wednesday to go up to 8,000' in what they call the Pecos Wilderness. If I do nothing but sit under a tree that will be fine!
Take Care of Yourself!

According to the Dr. a vertabrea in the sacral area slipped out of place and she is hoping just resting and ice will help it? Have fun up in the Pecos Wilderness I don't know where that is but sounds lovely. DId you catch any fish before?

Hi,
Be careful out in the wilds of New Mexico, don’t become an appetizer for a bear or whatever.

@sundance6 @jakedduck1 You don’t have to be in the wilds of New Mexico to come across bears, they seem to be getting sighted daily in my neighborhood recently! I’m glad I don’t have children playing outside.

Miss L., Have been fishing up there for the last 45 years, been fishing for 70 years.
Besides the pain and anguish I've gone through over this last year, not getting out on a river was the Worst. I think I have mentioned it before, but my daughter says "her dads time on the river is the closets he gets to a Religious Experience"! Fishing is Secondary!
Pretty close to that. Take care of your self.

@sundance6 LOL I remember your daughter saying that . You can do a lot of soul searching on the river. It calms down frazzled nerves too. I'm taking it real easy ICe and bedrest for the most. Xray showed a little slip of the vertabra. Dr. hopes it will correct itself. If not I don't know what they will do. Have fun

@lioness. Take care of yourself. I drive my husband crazy because he thinks I’m doing too much but they said to do what I can tolerate. Of course when I do much I’m hurting that night.
