@modonnellreynol I do not know your circumstances or age....so
I offer only my experience. I was Stage 1A breast cancer hormones positive, Hers negative, BUT because of so much breast cancer in our past generations my tumor was sent to be oncotyped and found to be RAD51C positive, which leads to possible ovarian cancer. I am 65 and had a total laparoscopic hysterectomy/ oophorectomy. I guess in a way you can call it prophylactic because I was having no problems there!
I had 2 csections so I thought I was ready for the after effects, HA! Not fun! Long healing time!

That’s my situation as well. I’m 63 the same age as my grandmother when she had breast cancer. She died of ovarian cancer at 75.
