Transferring treatment from WI to MN need some suggestions on clinics to finish chemo. Around Twin Cities pretty flexible!

Hi @aalexander908. I can connect you with other members who have a similar diagnosis. I want to be sure of the type of cancer you have. Do you have melanoma, a type of skin cancer, or myeloma, a type of blood cancer?

Thanks for the additional information, @aalexander908. You'll notice that I moved your message to the Cancer group https://connect.mayoclinic.org/group/cancer/ I did this so that you can meet people living with melanoma, such as @katyb879 @grandmar @nuttydizzyme @sunshine61250 @gaybinator @alan112 and @lynnkay1956. Lynn is a stage 4 melanoma cancer survivor and @gaybinator's husband has spindle cell carcinoma.

What type of treatment is he getting at the moment?

Welcome @aalexander908 !
I am so sorry for what you and your finance are going through!
I was diagnosed with a very early stage of melanoma 3 years ago.
I found a very tiny dot on my toe during a pedi.
When I went for my yearly skin check, I showed it to my dermatologist, who had it biopsied.
I was shocked to get the diagnosis since it did not follow any of the usual descriptions of what a melanoma looks like.
Last week I went for my yearly and had 2 biopsies done on my feet.
Yesterday, I got the wonderful news that they were not cancerous.

Although I am not going through what you are, I lived through my brother-in-law and brother who were both diagnosed with melanoma years ago.
My only suggestion for finding treatment is to do your research on the internet.
You might want to start with sites that rate doctors, hospitals and medical programs.
You might also want to look into trials that your finance might be eligiable for.

I wish you both the very best of luck!
Ronnie (GRANDMAr)
