@lenzo I hope things go great with your hip replacement. I know two people who have had them within the last year and both of them have done great. They did not have peripheral neuropathy though, just arthritis in their hips.

My brother in law was back taking long walks with my sister very shortly after the THR. He is somewhat thin and I think that helped, not having any extra weight. If you are overweight at all I would suggest trying to lose a few pounds between now and May. I know, it's not much time, but every little bit helps.

Thanks for your kind response. I know several people who’ve had THR and all have done very well. I know the first week will be the most challenging and I'm a touch overweight and am trying to shed a few more pounds by then. I have lost almost 10 lbs over the last 2 months.
I’ve been going for physical therapy which has yielded in less pain and do my exercises regularly so hoping that will put me in good stead post surgery.
