Dr to diagnose

Hi @adah, based on my research you would want to see a doctor who specializes in rare genetic diseases in order to diagnose urea cycle disorder. Depending on where you live, there could be different options for this. If you would like to make an appointment at Mayo Clinic, please call one of our appointment offices. You can also request an appointment online. The contact information for Minnesota, Arizona and Florida can be found here: http://www.mayoclinic.org/appointments

So if I went to Mayo Clinic, would they do testing on 1st visit? Cause that’s a long way to travel just for consultation.

The best way to find that out is chat with someone in the appointment offices: Arizona: 480-301-8484, Florida: 904-953-0853, Minnesota: 507-538-3270

You could always contact the biggest hospital near you to see if they take patients for urea cycle disorder, or you can contact your local hospital or ask your doctor for a referral.
