Chlamydia infection

Posted by 123spring123 @123spring123, Mar 27, 2019

Hi im looking for help and answers , im 25 male after a unprotected sex i had burning painfull ejaculation from there problems just started : burnins sensation while peeing , cloudy discharge, having pain in my testicles and lower abdominal i googled the symptons and from the research i found that i got infected with STDI's . After 5 days of symptoms i went to the parents parenthood they did tests for me and it came back positive for Chlamydia , they gave me 2 tablets of azithromycin and some kind of shot i dont remember the name. After that burning sensation while peeing and cloudy disarche went away but Pain in my testicles ( mostly right ) and abdominal pain have stayed. I waited over a month for these 2 symptoms to clean but they didnt i mailed doctor they gave me doxycylie 2 times a day for a week ( that didnt help with pain in testicles and lower abdominal pain ) I waited again a month for the symptoms to clear but they didnt. I went back to the clinic for STD's tests and they all came back negative ( they also did HIV tests which was also negative ) so the doctor told me to go to the emergency room for the ultra sound radiology they did that and they said everything is fine with my testicles ( doctor at the emergency room told me that my testicles are hurting because i want to have sex so bad which was a absurd for me ). Than i waited again a month for the symptoms to clear but they didnt , I visited urgent care all they did was push on my abdominal ( while pushing i had no pain ) they took a look on my testicles and sent me home without a answares , all they did say to take zantac maybe that would help. So here im after around 5 months of testicle and abdominal pain ( testicles are also swollen ) i did bought zantas and somehow it helps me a little the pain is much weaker but its still there ( i took zantac for 2 weeks than i stopped after that pain came back again strong so i went back on taking zantac ) . Oh i also forgot to say i have white coating at the end of my tounge with red bumps ( at urgent care they said its not a oral thrush because it doesnt hurt me and i have this since i took the antibiotics i tryed to brush it off with tounge brush but it only helps a little bit and it comes back ) So my question is what should i do or who should i see ? i have no insurance i spent alot of money which i had to borrow . Im looking forward for help thank you.

Do you look about candida. After all those antibiotics it's possible for you to have candida.

Hi,

I contracted Chlamydia about a month ago from a girl I started dating. The treatments that I have been undertaking don't seem to be working. What's happening, and why isn't the treatment working? What can I expect? Is it possible that the symptoms will remain indefinitely, and what would that mean for my health?

Thanks in advance for your insights.

A bit of background on my symptoms and the treatments I have had so far: My symptoms are a burning sensation when I pee, low sex drive, and painful orgasms. When I was first diagnosed, my doctor prescribed azithromycin. My symptoms improved about 5 days later, but then returned a day or two after that. I was then retested for Chlamydia and my test was positive. My doc then prescribed doxycycline, and I just finished the course of antibiotics, but my symptoms are still there. Note that I have not been sexually active with anyone since being diagnosed.

Hi @andyone and welcome to Connect. You may have noticed I moved your post to this existing discussion on chlamydia so you read what others have had to say about their experiences. Simply click VIEW & REPLY in your email notification in order to see your post.

That must be so frustrating that no treatments are working. I wanted to introduce you to fellow Connect members @da_best @123spring123 and @xlexflashx as they have experience with chlamydia and may be able to offer you support.

Back to you @andyone What did you doctor say would be the next step for your treatment?

I was treated for Chlamydia in October 2018 after an assault (it could’ve been worse)
After my first treatment all of my symptoms went away.

Anyway i abstained from sex until February.
Around late February my partner started having symptoms. I got rechecked and I still had the infection. I got treated again ( my second time receiving treatment.
A month later I got rechecked and i was told I still had the infection and was retreated (my third time)

Last month I went back and got rechecked and once again I was told I still have the infection and retreated me. This time with pills that lasted an entire week. This was my FOURTH time being treated.

I know that having Chlamydia for a long period of time can cause problems such as infertility or cause different infections to come around

Any ideas on why it may not be going away? After trying different medications and adhering to the instructions?

I realize this discussion is about Chlaymydia but pay attention to Chrisboxsa who had a helpful idea about now treating the candida that often is the result of taking antibiotics. Candida, yeast, symptoms often parallel Chlamydia symptoms as they both cause burning, swelling and itching. I had multiple surgery's which required massive does of antibiotics and I ended up with chronic candida in my privates. I did take the prescription anti-yeast meds, only to improve and then a month later get slammed again. My good bacteria had been killed off in my intestines allowing the yeast to flourish. I did eat probiotic yogurt but that didn't help.

It has been stated by some that they don't have access to px meds, but I have a permanent natural solution to eliminate the yeast. No doctors visit and it won't hurt you to try this. Kill it off- starve it to death. It is residing in your intestines and has specific foods it wants- mainly sugar, sugar, sugar and carbs. After a doctor recommended a yeast detox and I had been reading about anti-yeast/anti-inflammation diets I found a simply one to follow, William Crook, MD, The Yeast Connection Handbook. Crook was a pioneer in believing diet was a permanent solution. No money in his plan for the expensive prescription industry. True taking a pill is easier yet it wasn't permanent for me. I liked his plan because it was uncomplicated and he had simple hand drawn diagrams of how the detox worked, showing how our yeast was sending messages to our brain for a sugar fix. Moonshine maker's have known they can make their brews with yeast and lots of fruit, the fruit sugars feed the yeast. They make a mash of the fruits, basically rotten fruit, just what is in your intestines and yeast is happy, happy. I followed the plan exactly, a 2 month detox to kill of the yeast by starving it to death (basically zero sugar- both natural and processed and limited high carb veggies like potatoes and beans, limited whole grains, but amaranth, buckwheat and quinoa ok. I also ate small amounts of rice. I ate and do eat lots of meat, poultry, fish, eggs and safe nuts (p-nuts and pistachios are often contaminated with mold so avoid. Lots of low carb veggies.

This is harder than I imagined. Your starving yeast is sending constant messages to your brain for a sugar fix. You look a something sweet and your mouth will flood with saliva. It doesn't want a crisp raw veggie snack or even delicious walnuts- it wants sugar. As I mentioned it took 6 weeks of this to stop, just about the time my burning and itching and redness stopped. Yet must go at least 2 months for total kill out.

Yes you can take px meds while doing this to speed up recovery. Simply taking px meds is not a permanent solution for those of us that harbor resistant yeast- we can't just weaken it- it must be killed. I stuck to the detox for 2 1/2 months and now have followed maintenance plan for 5 months. Results motivated to stay on this plan, yet weight will naturally be lost and find I need to eat more of the good foods as I am down from 135 to below 125 and am 5'7". That weight level looked good in my 20's but at my age, 70, below that one starts looking frail. Walnuts and Almonds are good high calorie snacks. Once the yeast is killed off the sugar cravings do go away.

I do not remember the names. I am sorry. I threw out all of my medication bottles when I moved recently.

The first time it was two pink pills I took once and then the rest were all white pills that I also took once and abstained from sex.

This last time I took two white pills a day for an entire week which was my first time taking a week long medication for this infection.

My symptoms have not come back. Other than the tests I would have no idea I had Chlamydia. All of my symptoms went away when I was treated the very first day.

A positive Chlamydia result continues to come though

so before i start i want to mention i would have the urgency to pee sometimes and a burning sensation when i would per that would come and go.. ok so i had unprotected sex with my bf and a couple days after i started to have mild flank pain along with my other symptoms. i go to the clinic and was told to give a per sample and that it might be a uti so she gives me cipro until then. i come back to follow up and it showed a slight elevation in my white blood count and some blood but no bacteria. she then presses on my kidneys to see how they react and my right side is sensative. she then tells me to get blood drawn to rule out any stds and assumes it might be bacterial vaginitis... i come back for my results and they’re negative, and again i take a pee test that comes back negative but still with a little blood. she then suggests doing a swap test and i schedule my day for that. by this time my flank pain is more constant while finishing up my cipro so i go to the store to get monastat once i assumed i might have a yeast infection and that clears up my flank pain. the day comes for my swap test and a few days later i’m told i have chlamydia. i’m unsure how that never showed up in any of my blood work or pee sample but yet i was positive. i took the single dose drink 11/22/2019 and all my symptoms cleared for a while and then the slight burning came back with the urge to pee and slight flank pain. i know it says it takes 7 days to be cleared of chlamydia but shouldn’t i have no symptoms then ? i’m wondering if maybe i still have chlamydia and the medication didn’t work or could i have something else perhaps a uti even though i didn’t show any bacteria in my urine ..??
