ClearLungs effective?

Posted by taya @taya, Feb 18, 2019

I had been coughing nonstop for two days, bringing up all sorts of vile stuff. I took one ClearLung and the coughing stopped. My question is..does the ClearLung actually break up the thick mucus or does it act as a placebo, the coughing stops, but the nasty stuff is still in my lungs. I have Bronchiestis.

@taya

I took Clear Lung for the past two days. I have never coughed so much in my life, had no idea there could be so much mucus in my lungs. The downside is that I have had no sleep, therefore feel exhausted. I nebulize every day and exercise. Interested in people’s experience with Clear Lung.

@taya I've tried clear lung three different times. Had no effect at all. I was disappointed. I know what you mean when you say you are exhausted from the coughing

Hi @taya you may have noticed I moved your post to this existing discussion you had started on Clear Lung so that all your posts would be in one place. I'd like to thank @fib and @sueinmn for responding to your post.

That must be so frustrating that you have been unable to sleep. @america and @alleycatkate may have more thoughts on this since they last posted about it.

@taya do you feel you are breathing any better as you cough up all of this mucus?

Hi @taya ...I am assuming that you are able to bring the mucus up. ?? When I first started taking Clear Lungs, it was helpful in getting the mucus up. (that was maybe 2 yrs ago) Now...I have so little mucus that it is a rare event that I can get anything up from my lungs. I am not sure if I can attribute that to the Clear Lungs, nebulizing saline or the third possibility is NAC. Perhaps the combined effort of all of the above. When I first began, I would cough up green/yellow balls of what I assumed to be infection...now there seems to be nothing in my lungs or only a little mucus on a rare occasion, nothing like before. I intend to continue all but have actually cut back on my clear lungs to 1 every other day recently as there seems to not be a need. Is your sleep issue because you are coughing so much? I know when I was ragged from no sleep because of an overactive thyroid,(resolved) I would meditate. At least it would give the body rest. Kate

Hi Kate! I started using Clear Lungs and it pretty awesome! I believe with everyone it’s different. I do still cough but I bring up a good amount of mucus everyday. It works for me! Thanks Rita.

I’ve been using clearlungs for 3 months now and for me it definitely seems to be helping. It makes me cough up what mucus I have and it’s thinner. I take it first thing in the morning and in 2 to 3 hours I’ve coughed up quite a lot and not much coughing the rest of the day. I’ve stopped using my vest and nebulizer until my next scan. Also went off the meds as my eyes were really bothering me. They’ve been much better lately (I also have sjogrens). My Mac was still active when I started clearlungs. I have bronchiectasis, Mac, (nocardia in remission) and aspergillos & psudamonas in my esophagus. I’m 83 and was diagnosed in 03.I have been very blessed in that I’ve not been sick with any of this. The CDC doctor tells me my lungs have many Mac colonies.

@marilynk ...Wow...I am happy that you are doing so well in fighting your different issues. It certainly seems that the Clear Lungs is effective and helpful. Gotta say that it is pretty amazing that you have had these diseases since 03 with so little impact. How very lucky. Wishing you continued success and good health. Kate
