Early period days

My daughter had her first period last October 2018. She’s 11 yrs old. The next two periods happend in a duration of 45 days. But this time, she got her period too soon, that’s in 25 days. Is this ok? Why did it happen so early this time? Is it a matter of concern? Please advise.

Hi, @manivi96 - welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I can see you are really looking out for your daughter. I'd have questions, too, if my daughter had irregularity in her menstrual cycle.

Thinking that it may bring some peace of mind to have them weigh in, have you had the chance to speak to her pediatrician or family medicine doctor about this? If so, what did the doctor say?

All young girls, when they first start having cycles, will be irregular for awhile. That can last up to a year, depending on the person.
My sister, when she started at age 12, suddenly stopped at age 13, and remained stopped for a year. We took her to a dr. but we were never told why she stopped. He was able to get her going again. I would wait and see what her regular schedule is first, unless her bleeding lasts for a long time, or she has severe cramping pain, then take her in. Once she gets on a schedule you will know more as to what is normal. However, it never hurts to have a checkup.
