Pain in foot

Posted by jakeboger @jakeboger, Dec 3, 2018

So I ran a 5k on Saturday and last night, one of my medial bones started hurting. I'm not sure which one specifically but I think that it's either the medial cuneiform or navicular. It just hurts when I am walking on it and it intensifies when I put on a brace or shoes. Does anyone have any idea of what this is? I'm trying to hold out going to the doctor unless I absolutely need to.

Hi, @jakeboger , walk, do not run to a really well trained specialist in orthopedic injuries. Can I assume you already have a specialist, seeing as how you run marathons? This is Mamacita, and I am everyone's "Jewish Mother" because I dig in for the long haul, I don't give up until there are answers, and will do everything in my power to help. The reason your situation caught my eye is that my daughter had an injury when she was in the Army. The doctors said it was a sprain. But it was not. It was a break. And she has paid for it ever since. There is not much else that can be done for her as it stands now. That's why I say, walk, don't run to your nearest expert. Let them tell you what is going on. Please let me know how this turns out for you. Love and light,Mamacita

Hi, I do not run marathons nor do I have a specialist. I ran a 5k Saturday, which I regularly do.

@jakeboger funny as I read this I hurt my ankle ,think I twisted it Soaking in Epsom Salts if it's a sprain this will help if it gets swollen and hurts better get it x-rayed I fractured my foot in the arc area didn't go for a couple of hours thought it was a sprain but ended up I did fracture it so see your Dr if it doesn't quit hurting .

@jakeboger, if you have a PCP, he would be able to at least do x rays. And an exam. If it feels better after icing, soaking, then perhaps you just yinged when you should have yanged. Good luck and take care of you!
