Ortho surgery

Wondering if a form called “OR PREOP PREG assessment” is normal to get when I’m not even scheduled for a surgery currently.

@lbrasa I never heard of that form ,didn't have it earlier Ask Dr. about it or whoever gave it to you .If your not having surgery doesn't make sense investigate it is what I suggest

Hello @lbrasa! Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect.

The form is an assessment- to asses you for surgical need. Are you scheduled in Orthopedics? What questions do you have for other members who have been there?

@jamienolson I have an appointment on Tuesday with an ortho hand surgeon and an oncologist because of these weird benign tumors growing. Does this mean they will be doing a surgery when I’m down there?

I am assuming that you are going to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. I don't think they would do surgery that quickly unless it is an emergency. I had carpal tunnel release surgery done at Mayo in Minnesota; I saw the doctor in January and the surgery was scheduled for March.

Good luck and keep us posted,
Helen
