Dizzy Blonde

Posted by shoregal45 @shoregal45, Oct 16, 2018

I'm a 72 year old single woman. For the past year I've been under a lot of stress and by last Friday it was terrible. I started feeling fatigued over the weekend and Monday morning I awoke with a headache (which went away when I took Advil) and very light-headed, off balance and my head felt "heavy". I sometimes get mild palpitations that last for a few minutes. I do breathing exercises and take a low dose Xanax when needed. The symptoms continue through today except for the headache. I have no energy and can't do much of anything. I feel better when I'm in my recliner where I can relax. I've always been able to get through bad days but this time it's knocked me for a loop. Could this just be anxiety????

@shoregal45 Have you checked about carbon monoxide poisoning? This is something that comes on very slowly. Do you have a carbon monoxide detector? If not, call your local fire department immediately and ask for a sniff down of the air to make sure you don't have this colorless odorless gas in your house. And yes, anxiety can certainly cause all the symptoms you have talked about, but you still need to make sure exactly what the cause is. Keep us posted, please. We care about you.

Hi, do you have someone that will check on you every day or for you to contact every day to let them know that you are ok? Yes, you can just get tired. There is a lot to live for and to do for the rest of your life. It sounds like you are a nice woman. You are cared about and wanted just for being you. Reach out and reach back to keep this dialogue going. You are wanted and needed. Rich
