Osteoporosis Treatment - Running Scared

I have had a recent compression fracture and the doctors are suggesting Prolia. I am terrified of this drug from everything I have heard others report. I have been on Evista since February, which is not really long enough I don't think, to see benefits. I do well on it and wondered if anyone here has had success with Evista/Raloxifene combined with low dose Fosamax. One doctor had me try Forteo, and I had a terrible reaction to it. No one seems to want to know why I am spilling calcium into my urine, either. Very frustrated!

Harborside24th I have a L2 compression fracture since 05 Dr treated it with 3months wearing a turtle shell brace then Water P T 6months He never even suggested any drugs for bones as you are I found using a walker I can walk further without to much pain I also have a messed up lower back ,bulging disc and fibromyalgia Im not doing any drugs your Dr is suggesting My girlfriend has scilosos, osteoporosis and took Fosemex lost some of her teeth and pain in jaw she now exercises ,swims Vit D3 and is fine The walker is what took my pressure of back .I use ice, heating pad and learn to say No when your tired This is what I do and have been fine. Yes it hurt to exercise but building up your muscles in back does help ,in my opinion not more drugs. Your position maybe different from mine but just giving you my experience as a retired nurse also.
