Had tkr in June. Had to have manipulation after 6 week check up. Still going to PT. Swelling and scar tissue still remain. Walking is problematic as I get sore and tired not to mention the tightness in the knee. Anyone else had these symptoms and how was it resolved.

Hello, @lizzyisme - welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I'm sorry to hear that your walking is problematic with soreness, tightness and getting tired following your TKR.

I thought that some Connect members like @kdo0827 @mamie @gailfaith @marield65 @cobweb and others who have talked about total knee replacement (TKR) may have some ideas to share about the symptoms you are experiencing.

Did you see any improvements at all with the manipulation, @lizzyisme?

Ty Lisa for welcoming me to the community and referrals!

It gives false Hope's. The machine said I was at 110 but when I got to p.t. I was only 90 really

Since my RTKR in June, I have had a manipulation 6 weeks after my initial surgery due to my knee not flexing, I had little benefit from the manipulation . Now, my knee continues to be swollen, stiff and painful. It’s like I have a spasm that prevents knee to get stuck. My PT has written a letter to my surgeon explaining that despite my compliance and almost 3 months of PT I still am not making improvements in my rehabilitation. I see surgeon day after Labor Day. Any ideas. Comments?
