PainShield MD - ultra sound device for relieving pain

Posted by lauren123 @lauren123, Apr 8, 2018

I have recently order a device that is marketed to relieve trigeminal neuralgia pain for both TN1 and TN2, BMS and other issues. Has anyone used such a device and if so, what was your experience? I will very much appreciate your feedback. Thanks!

Lauren, I haven't heard of the device. Can you tell us more about it? How is it supposed to help? What research is available about it's effectiveness?

Hello Colleen, I am going to show this device to my PM doctor next week. At that time I will have more information. It is basically a unit which is attached to the cheek bone and sends light currents of ultra sound into the painful area. It is not a cure, and I don't know about the research. I'll be back to you after I hear from my doctor. It can be worn for as long as you wish. It is marketed by NanoVibronix. I hope someone has experience with it. A patch is strapped to the face, but there is no stitching or surgery involved.
