This is always a sad and bewildering time. But.... Forget about what you are SUPPOSED to do. Just do. Spend your time telling him you love him, and that you expect to see him in the next life. pray for his comfort. remind him of the good things of the past. Smile as often as you can. Dying should not be painful, and the worst pain is the relationship confusion. So make sure he knows he has been great for your life.
