I saw a new cardiologist today from a different healthcare system. I only take eliquis after one incident 16 months ago. He asked why I want off of Eliquis..I said muscle pain and stiffness, joint pain and I may not even need it. He said nope, cannot be from the eliquis. I figured that would happen so blew it off. He also told me that I have A Flutter, not Afib so that's new. I told him I felt it distinctly but he said data shows many who think they feel every incident proves them wrong. I will accept that. Referred for a 14 day Holter monitor and to a virtual visit with an EP before he will support dropping it, but will now be the EPs decision so follow up in 4 months with a nurse practitioner. Guess I won't be seeing him again? Weird.
