Hello and congratulations on your son's return home from transplant. I am a liver/kidney transplant recipient. I am 5+ years out now. I wore my face mask religiously around people and when I was out of the house for almost 2 years. It is very important, although, very uncomfortable. Safety first is my preference. Hand washing is important along with hand sanitizer. I would recommend isolation for the sick one in the household if possible. Other than that just pray it all works out. It is a tough journey to walk and you can only do the best you can do and not beat yourself up as a caregiver. Caregiving is a tough job and, at times, not appreciated. You have to learn to go with the flow of the day and make the best of a bad situation and not feel guilty if you have to take a break and take time for yourself. I encouraged my husband to go out for a while as I recovered so he could have time away from me as well as I from him. Good luck and will be praying for a healing for your son and grandchild.

Thank you for your response I really appreciate you

10 years post liver transplant. No mask. Only paper hand towels. No public WC when possible. No handling many many grandkids. No kissing. No dancing. ALL GOOD.

WOW , thank you for your response
