Tymlos causing belly fat?

I’m on Tymlos for about 2 1/2 months now. I’m not usually concerned about my weight. I stay pretty stable. I’ve noticed that my belly seems to be getting fatter. Has anyone experienced this belly fat situation from Tymlos? Is there anything I can do about it? Why is it happening? Thanks for any input.

I've noticed bloating and constipation using Tymlos. My belly also has grown. I've stopped it for a month (after 5 months of usage) because my intestines and colon felt swollen and cramped. I'm feeling so much better OFF the Tymlos; I'll see how I feel after a month's hiatus. All the best!!! Alex Rose

I noticed the extra belly fat! I started with thigh injections and did notice it did reduce it. I try to do the belly as much as possible because my doctor says it's probably better than the thigh but either is okay.

Hello. I stated tymlos on Sept 24th at 130lbs. I stay pretty stable and have not been overeating. My endocrinologist does not have any other patients that have gained weight on Tymlos. But this is unusual for me. I’m 2 months in and have gained 6 lbs. I am going to start intermittent fasting now so as to get my pre weight back. It’s all in my belly too. If you have found out any more info please share it with me. Thanks.

@taraneh64 I’ve not only gained weight but I’m growing hair, EVERYWHERE like crazy. My eyelashes, legs, even my toes. I stopped for a month due to heart palpitations. And the hair started falling out, eyebrows, head, not happy about that.
By belly is huge now, never was. So yes, odd things are happening.

I have definitely gained some belly fat since beginning Tymlos the first of June.My weight itself has not really changed.Because of the purported benefits I have only reported this but do not intend to stop the injections.I am hoping this will go away after my course but that is some time away.Because I have needed dental implants/extractions etc Tymlos seems to be a good choice & I cannot pinpoint any other negative side effects.

Yes I am having a similar experience despite doing pilates 3-4 x a week.Just putting up with it.I suspect if they list this as a side effect it could deter many candidates.

@midwestmermaid I am so disappointed in having this belly fat since I started Tymlos only a month ago. I’m wondering if it’s going to continue or will it stop? I feel so uncomfortable with my tummy being so bloated looking. I was losing weight until this started. 🙄

@diwint so you’ve been on it for almost 2 years and your number has not gotten any better?! That’s terrible! I thought my -3.3 was bad. I’m disgusted with his belly fat and feel very self-conscious and I’ve only been on it a month. I hope it stops!
