@lindenflower I think the ten minutes that has been mentioned is to boil the water first to kill any possible bacteria in the water that you will be placing the pieces in and then boil them for 5 minutes to sterilize. Be sure to place the pieces in the water as it is boiling to help keep them from touching the bottom of a metal pot. I boil the water for 10 minutes and then sterilize for 5 minutes.
