Weight reducing personal injection

My stepdaughter wanted to lose a few pounds. She started using a self injected medication. I think it was prescribed by a physician. It worked great for weight loss, but after about 3 months of use the nocturnal seizures started. Found her on the floor in her closet once. No more seizures once she stopped the injections, but did not drive for 6 months. My wife and I strongly suggested seeing a neurologist. She now takes Topomax, just in case. Being a stepdaughter, her seizures were not related to genetics.

I have a few questions for you so that I and other members can better understand what has happened with your stepdaughter, if you don't mind:
- I'm wondering if you'd share more about what weight loss shot she was taking?
- Did the doctor who prescribed this medication believe the seizure activity was correlated with the weight loss shots?
- Did this doctor tell your stepdaughter to stop taking the weight loss medication?
- Did she end up seeing a neurologist? If so, what did that doctor say about her seizures, causation and what to do next?

GLP is a neuroprotective agent . In reduces inflammation in the gut and in the brain . It reduces seizures activity — supposedly .
