@lindy9 Ha! That's a good response. It's easy for doctors/specialists to prescribe medications to patients but let them feel the negative effects it has on the patients when they take the meds.

I am on Eliquis 5 mg twice daily and for about 3 years, have not really had any bad side effects. I am considered a bleeder, but I understand that with Eliquis, you don't bleed as much as with other blood thinners, but I don't know about that because I have cut myself before and the bleeding never seems to stop until I put a lot of pressure on the cut for about 1 hour.

I have had episodes from time to time on urinating blood with blood clogs and my Urologist tells me it is the Eliquis that is causing the bleeding because she does not find any type of UTI on me.

So I don't know but I guess I will just continue to take Eliquis for the rest of my life because I am not going through anymore cardioversions (have had 2); no more ablations (have had 2) and 3 cauterizations (have had 3) and Cario Cauterization (have had 1).
