@rlf66attnet , With the recent clinical advances, 'Lung Cancer' is now known to include many different types of cancer. Knowing the specific type will help your oncologist to select the most appropriate treatment. I'm sorry that you are facing this. I know how scary it can be. There have been so many advances in treatments. The outlook for us is better than ever. There are more and more of us living longer, even with stage IV disease. Will you let us know what you learn at your appointment?

@lls8000 YES. Thans so much.

@lls8000 I am finally beginnin treatment on 12/2. One round of chemo and immunotherapy. This followed by (after 21 days) another round of chemo and more immunotherapy. Doctor stated that I would be on immunotherapy indefinitely. I have NO clue as to what my results of all of this will be. However, am optimistic that I am in God's hands and the treatment will work. Pray to God all goes well. It took a long time for me to obtain treatment. This is the second oncologist I am seeing. First one took over two weeks to get all my records to my current one. All is well. Again, I pray that I will respond well to all of the chemicals which will be introduced into my body. I do have adenocarcinoma of the left lung. I had a lession removed from my right temple, it turned out to have metastesized from my left lung. I also have a small area of lymph nodes bet. both lungs which will have to be treated. I have NO mutations so, chemo is my only option for now and immnotherapy. Bless to all Happy Thanksgiving. rlf66
