What does it mean to be on call at Mayo in Rochester?

I was put on call today for liver transplant at 2:55.

Hard to really say, but maybe they think they have a donor and are validating. Sounds like you may be close.

My nurse said because I’m close to Mayo and my MELD score is the same since last labs, they put me on the call list, she has know idea when I may get called
