@kathyjjb Hopefully the Assistance Fund will help us with the Supplement Plans and the D part. I myself would not change to an Advantage Plan due to all the possible limitations with the Advantage Plans. Don't know if that is what you meant with "Looking for Alternative Insurance Plans." Overall in view of health and aging, in the end, if one can afford the Supplement Plans we are better off, overall, in the long run.

@blm1007blm1007 Hi Barbara, I guess I don't have a "supplement plan". My Humana PPO is indeed a Medicare Advantage Plan. I remember talking to a Humana Customer Service rep and she called my plan a "supplement" plan-incorrectly. I just got online and confirmed "advantage" not "supplement". I am on a budget and not sure if I could afford a supplement plan and if they would even take me due to preexisting conditions. Seems like at this time, good affordable insurance is for those that have worked for government. Maybe I should talk to an insurance agent. I've had quite a few Denials this year.
